AARON RAMSEY has been officially unveiled by Juventus as the club's new No8.
The Welsh midfielder revealed at his press conference that he left Arsenal for the Italian champions as he "could not turn them down".
Ramsey, 28, wore the No8 shirt for Arsenal before he completed his free transfer to the Serie A side this summer.
And he is aware of the responsibilities that comes with wearing the iconic squad number for the 2019/20 campaign.
Speaking at his unveiling, Rambo said: "I wanted the No8, I wore it at Arsenal and when it was free here I had to take it with both hands.
"I know Marchisio was an unbelievable player, grew up here and had a fantastic career. I spoke to him a couple of times in J Medical.
"If I can emulate what he did for Juventus I would be pretty proud of that. I know it comes with responsibilities, but I am ready for that."
Ramsey had been linked to Manchester United and Bayern Munich before he penned a four-year deal with Juventus.
But the Welsh star admitted he had his heart set on joining them as soon as they indicated interest.
He said: "As soon as I knew Juve were in for me, there was no question about where I was going to go. You can't turn down that opportunity.
"I'm so excited to be here and hopefully I can be a part of a new history. There were other clubs, but this is the right club for me."
Ramsey also spoke of his excitement about playing under the management of former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.
