Tottenham have offered Atletico Madrid the chance to sign Christian Eriksen , despite links with Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Spurs representatives have already held a meeting with Atletico Madrid officials in a bid to offload the want-away midfielder, according to AS.
Eriksen revealed at the end of the season that he was ready for a new challenge. That prompted a number of rumours to circulate, linking the Dane to United and Real Madrid.
But efforts to sell the midfielder - whose contract runs out next year - haven’t proved fruitful so far.
Tottenham sent staff to speaking to Atletico’s CEO Miguel Angel Gil to discuss a deal for Eriksen.
The transfer would cost between £54m (€60m) and £63m (€70m). Although the midfielder would likely be valued a lot higher than that, his looming contract deadline has forced Spurs’ hand into lowering their asking price.
