Andy Murray reveals he's fully fit ahead of Wimbledon doubles

ANDY MURRAY says he is fit for Wimbledon for the first time he can remember as he prepares once again to carry the hopes of the nation.

The two-time men’s singles champion revealed in his 2013 book, ‘Andy Murray: Seventy-Seven’ that he suffers from an ulcer condition every year in the build-up to championships and throughout the fortnight.
But that distress, alongside his long-term hip problems, have finally been cured ahead of the flagship fortnight of the tennis calendar.
That is why this year, as he prepares to open his doubles bid with Pierre-Hugues Herbert against Marius Copil and Ugo Humbert, is different.
“I think I feel fine now because I have a lot of perspective about things,” Murray said. “I have got used to it.
Murray started his practice on Friday while the draws were being made.
“Do I want to know the draw? I don't care, whatever,” he said. He was not even unduly interested in a potential third-round clash with his brother Jamie and British partner Neal Skupski.
“A lot of stuff has got to happen before then,” he said. “Two weeks ago, I was not even going to play, so I am not going to be getting excited about third-round matches.”

Murray also revealed his participation in the mixed doubles later in the fortnight is also far from certain as he is at loggerheads with his team over the wisdom of adding to the burden of a best-of-five-sets men’s doubles competition.
"We spoke about it last night and again this morning and let’s just say coach and player have differing views!” he smiled. “It is a tough one and I don’t know who will win.
“In all seriousness, we will come to an agreement. I am not going to make a decision on it without everybody being on board with it.
“Everybody is keen on me playing and I would like to play, but it is whether or not it is the right thing or the best thing to do.
