JAVIER HERNANDEZ will fly into London on Monday to complete his £16million move to West Ham.
And the Hammers are sending popular rookie Ashley Fletcher out on loan to make room for him.
Javier Hernandez will fly in for his West Ham medical on Monday
Championship sides Middlesbrough, Leeds, Reading and Wolves have all asked to take the former Manchester United trainee for the season in order to give him match time.
Fletcher, 21, scored in last week’s pre-season friendly against Fulham played while both teams were on a training camp in Austria.
A Hammers insider said: “Ashley is well thought of at West Ham.
“He’s going out to get some games under his belt.
The club needs an experienced and prove striker like Hernandez this season to help Andy Carroll.”
Hernandez is set to become a West Ham player within 24 hours in a move from German side Bayer Leverkeusen.
The Mexican star is joining for just £16m.
The former Manchester United striker, 29, scored 39 goals in just 76 matches for Leverkusen over the past two seasons.
Signing Mexico’s record scorer will take boss Slaven Bilic’s spending to £40m in fees after the club record signing of Marko Arnautovic.
England keeper Joe Hart and Manchester City’s veteran right-back Pablo Zabeleta have joined on free transfers.
