Vardy signs new contract with Leicester City
Jamie Vardy
Leicester City announced on Thursday that their star striker, Jamie Vardy, has signed a contract extension with the club.
The English striker became a superstar with an astounding 24 goals with six assists thereby helping Leicester City to an historic Premier League triumph but it seemed like he would be headed to the Emirates to ply his trade with Arsenal.

However, the Premier League Champions put an end to all the speculation and rumors surrounding the 29-year-old, by announcing that they have signed Vardy to a contract extension.
“Leicester City have today (Thursday) agreed with the representatives of Jamie Vardy to extend the England international’s contract with the Premier League champions for a further four years,” read a statement on the club’s official website.
Vardy and Leicester City will be looking to claim even more silverware when they take on Manchester United in the FA Community Shield on August 7.
