Barcelona plan to hijack Manchester United’s pursuit of Valencia star Andre Gomes It could cost a top club around £40m to make Valencia part with star Andre Gomes

Barcelona are planning to muscle in on Manchester United's pursuit of Valencia star Andre Gomes.
The Portuguese international is considered as one of the hottest young prospects in European football right now and United tracked his progress closely throughout last season.
New United boss Jose Mourinho is eager to bring Gomes to Old Trafford this summer but Barcelona have now firmed up their interest as they look to add another creative midfielder to their ranks.
According to El Mundo Deportivo, Barca technical secretary Robert Fernandez has been in contact with Gomes' representatives and was in the stands for Portugal's final Euro 2016 friendly against Estonia this week.
United, however, are still favourites to land Gomes, who is attracted by the prospect of playing under Mourinho next season, and a deal of around £42m could be completed during the Euros.
