Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has spoken out after his agent claimed he’s stalling over a new Anfield contract because the UK weather annoys him.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has dismissed claims that he could leave the club because he doesn’t like the weather.
His agent, Marc Kosicke, said the UK weather annoys him, which is why he was stalling on signing a new deal at Liverpool.
He’s currently contracted at Anfield until 2022, and it’s believed the German intends to see out his contract.
But, Klopp has put to bed the rumours regarding the weather on Merseyside impacting his decision, claiming his agent was simply making a joke that got lost in translation.
“I am completely fine with the weather,” said Klopp. “Nothing in that story.
“He wanted to make a joke. It was obviously German humour as nobody got it.
“It’s not a reason for me to leave the country. Maybe at the moment it’s the most healthy weather in the world - we have enough rain, it's cool, pretty much the opposite of this room.
“There's nothing in that story. He’s my agent and my friend.”
