Chelsea captain, Cesar Azpilicueta, has spoken on the future of forward, Eden Hazard, at the club.
Hazard is being expected to join Real Madrid in a big-money move this summer.
The 28-year-old has drawn interest from Real Madrid for a number of years and returning manager, Zinedine Zidane, is a huge admirer.
The Belgium international on Monday said he has told Chelsea of his decision about his future at the club, adding that he would not make it public until after the Blues’ UEFA Europa League final against Arsenal on May 29 in Baku.
But Azpilicueta wants Chelsea squad and fans to ‘respect’ Hazard’s decision to join Real Madrid.
Speaking on Hazard’s future at Chelsea, Azpilicueta told Sky Sports: “He is a very important player for us.
“We arrived [at Chelsea] at the same time and, obviously, we want him to stay with us but we have to respect his decision.
“His mind is only on doing well with Chelsea and lifting the trophy in Baku. Then we will see.”
