Juventus have not made a move to sign striker Gonzalo Higuain, nor do
Napoli want to sell him, the club's head of communications has said.
Speaking at a Q&A with supporters at the Napoli's training camp in Dimaro, Nicola Lombardo insisted the striker has not raised the subject of leaving the Serie A runners-up and insisted Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis wants to keep him.
Although De Laurentiis' son Eduardo rubbished the story as "a hoax" and Juventus director Fabio Paratici described a move for the former Real Madrid man as "distant", Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri appeared to welcome the suggestion Higuain could move to the Bianconeri this summer.
However, Lombardo retorted: "Gonzalo never said he wanted to leave. Juve have never asked for him and Aurelio De Laurentiis does not want to sell him.
"We are talking about rumours that are fuelled by the press, who write story upon story. But he will be here in Dimaro to start preseason on July 25."
