Marcelo Bielsa appointed Lazio's new manager

Serie A club Lazio have confirmed the appointment of Marcelo Bielsa as their new coach.
The former Athletic Bilbao coach takes over from Simone Inzaghi, who took temporary charge following the dismissal of Stefano Pioli in the second half of last season, and is due to arrive in Rome at the weekend.

He will then lead the club to their preseason training camp in Auronzo di Cadore on Sunday.
"As has already been circulated by the media, Lazio can now announce that the contract of Mr Marcelo Bielsa and his assistants has been signed," read a club statement.
"The club would also like to announce that, based on the communication we have received, the coach and his staff will be in Rome on Saturday July 9."
Earlier, Lazio's press spokesman Stefano De Martino told Lazio Style Radio that all the paperwork had been filled in and the former coach of Argentina has now booked his ticket to Italy.
"He will arrive on Saturday morning and move into Formello [training centre] in the evening," he said. "The day after, he will travel with the team to Auronzo di Cadore for the first stage of our summer training camp. We will give more precise timings later on, but this is the news."
Bielsa resigned as coach of Marseille after just one game of last season -- a home defeat to Caen -- having led them to a fourth-placed finish in the 2014-15 campaign. He has been out of work since.
