Closing in: Gundogan is nearing a move to City
Manchester City are closing in on a £20million deal for Borussia Dortmund's Ilkay Gundogan.
Gundogan will become the first signing under new City boss Pep Guardiola - despite being out with a dislocated knee.
The
Germany international will miss Euro 2016 after suffering the injury,
which was initially feared to sideline him for five months.
But a
revised diagnosis has suggested Gundogan, 25, could return to action by
the end of August, just two weeks into the new season.
City
are hoping to tie up a deal for Gundogan in the next few days, before
moving on to other targets including Everton's John Stones, with local
rivals Manchester United also in the race for him.
