Alexis Sanchez, will leave Manchester United this summer only on the condition that Old Trafford executives will not pay off his contract, according to Andy Mitten.
Mitten is the United We Stand fanzone editor.
Sanchez failed miserably to live up to expectations since arriving at Old Trafford.
He struggled under Jose Mourinho, and become more maligned under Ole Gunner Solskjaer.
The Chilean international has three years left on his contract, believed to be worth £500,000 a week.
The wages which include: bonuses and image rights, are creating a dilemma for United who want to sell their flop.
Mitten broke down the difficulty of the task the club faces, having handed him the most lucrative contract in their history.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk podcast, the United aficionado said, “If you look at Alexis Sanchez, he’s not worked out.
“He used to be a good player, he’s not been a good player for Manchester United. And he’s not really got a future at Manchester United.
“But what he does have is a massive contract; he’s the best-paid player in the Premier League.
“It’s getting him out of that contract [which is difficult]. To pay him off would cost an absolute fortune.”
