Antonio Conte ready to challenge Man Utd for Ivan Perisic

Conte has been desperate to sign more additions to his squad this summer.
Alvaro Morata, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger and Willy Caballero have all arrived at Stamford Bridge.

But seven players have left on permanent deals, including Nathan Ake and Nemanja Matic while a further 12 players have gone out on loan.

It has left Conte short of options going into the new season and this weekend he only has N'Golo Kante as his only recognised central midfielder available.

Eden Hazard is still out injured meaning Willian and Pedro are also Chelsea's only options in the wide ares with Victor Moses occupying the right wing-back role.
And The Times report, Chelsea are considering a move for United target Perisic.
Inter Milan have been firm with the Red Devils that Perisic is not for sale and is reportedly in talks over signing a new deal.

Conte is determined to bolster his squad and believes Perisic would fit into his system at Stamford Bridge.

But the Italian coach is reportedly struggling to convince the Chelsea hierarchy to fund the move.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Danny Drinkwater and Virgil van Dijk are also rumoured to be top targets for Conte.
