Nobody can match Messi's level, says Xavi

Lionel Messi (left) and Xavi Hernandez of Barcelona celebrate with the trophy after the UEFA 2015 Champions League final against Juventus at Olympiastadion in Berlin.
Barcelona legend Xavi believes nobody will ever be able to replace his former teammate Lionel Messi with respect to his abilities and achievements. Comparing the Argentine with Cristiano Ronaldo, Xavi said that Messi was way above Portugal's Euro 2016 winning captain.

The 36-year old said, "There will be many good players in the future but no one would come close to Messi's level, when he eventually decides to call it quits."
Xavi, who played with Messi until last year before leaving for Qatar, said that Messi's Barcelona teammate Neymar and Chelsea's Eden Hazard had it in them to become 'world's best but none of them would be as superior as the Argentine magician'.
Messi took international retirement after his side Argentina fell short in the final of 2016 Copa America. This was five time Ballon d’or winner Messi’s fourth defeat in the final of a major international tournament, which also included his loss in the final of 2014 World Cup.
