Gonzalo Higuain will not go to Juventus - Napoli chief De Laurentiis

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis says Gonzalo Higuain will not join Juventus and that the striker would be betraying the supporters if he were to leave.

De Laurentiis has made clear that Argentina forward Higuain, 28, will not be permitted to leave for anything less than the €94.7 million release clause in his contract.
Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta has said his side will not pay the clause but hinted that he was not abandoning hope of a deal.
De Laurentiis, though, remains adamant there will be no negotiations and said he does not believe there is any prospect he will join a Serie A rival.
"Higuain will not go to Juve," he told Radio Kiss Kiss. "In fact, it wouldn't even be right for Higuain to go to any other Italian club.
"All this chit-chat is meaningless. Gonzalo has another two years on his contract and if nobody comes with an offer equal to his release clause then he's staying at Napoli.

"There aren't many clubs capable of paying that amount. Then we will have to see whether Higuain wants to betray this love that he seemed to have declared for the Neapolitans.
"At the moment, considering that he has not spoken and expressed his opinion, this situation that has been created is just a load of talk. Gonzalo will arrive in Dimaro [training camp] on July 25."
Higuain, who scored 36 goals in Serie A last season, joined Napoli from Real Madrid in 2013.
